1. About this notice

This Privacy Notice explains how Citiq Corporate Advisory Sdn. Bhd. (Registration No. 200101011465 (547221-P)), No. 1, 2nd Floor, Left Portion, 14B, Jalan Ling Kai Cheng, 96000 Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia ("Citiq", "we") handles personal data. It covers our website https://citiq.com.my and enquiries you send us by WhatsApp, telephone or email using the contact details on this website. It is provided with reference to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA").

2. Personal data we collect

• When you contact us: if you contact us by WhatsApp (013-890 0223), telephone (084-331 666) or email (citiq.sibu@gmail.com), we receive the information you choose to give us, such as your name, contact details, your message and any documents.
• Website analytics, only if you agree: if you select Accept in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how the website is used: the pages you view, the time of your visit, your device and browser type, your approximate location, how you reached the site, and whether you selected a WhatsApp, phone or email link (not what you sent). For each page we send only the page address; other link parameters are removed, except the campaign tags utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, which show which campaign brought you to the site. Campaign tags that look like an email address or phone number, or that are unusually long, are also removed. Google Analytics uses cookies (_ga and _ga_K2DRW7NVEC) with a random identifier. We do not send your name, phone number, email address or messages to Google Analytics, and advertising features are turned off. If you select Decline, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not used.
• Technical information: our website host, Netlify, processes technical details of each visit (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the website. Our "Our Office" pages show an embedded Google Map; when it loads, Google receives technical details such as your IP address and may set its own cookies. The website's fonts and photographs are stored on our own website.
• Your cookie choice: your choice is saved in your browser on the device you are using, for 12 months, so we do not ask on every page. It is not sent to us. On another browser or device, or if you clear your browser data, you will be asked again.

3. Why we use your personal data

To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask about; to understand and improve our website (analytics, only with your consent); and to operate and protect the website.

4. Do you have to provide personal data?

No. Contacting us is voluntary, but if you do not give us enough information we may not be able to respond. Analytics is optional; declining does not affect your use of the website.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you — Google (Google Analytics, Google Maps and Gmail), Netlify (website hosting) and WhatsApp/Meta (WhatsApp messaging) — and where the law requires us to. These providers may process data outside Malaysia, and their own privacy policies also apply.

6. Cookie Settings and withdrawing consent

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie Settings at the bottom of every page. Your choice applies to the browser and device you are using. If you withdraw consent, Google Analytics stops collecting data from that browser and its cookies are removed for this website. Data already collected before you withdrew is not deleted automatically; it is handled as described in section 7. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

7. How long we keep personal data

• Google Analytics: detailed user-level and event-level data is kept for up to 14 months, after which it is no longer available for detailed analysis. Google's standard summary reports, which show totals rather than individual visitors, may still include figures from older visits.
• Enquiries: information you send us is kept only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this notice, or as required by law.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to access or correct your personal data, withdraw your consent, or limit how we use it. Please email citiq.sibu@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.

9. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our practices or legal requirements change. The latest version and its effective date will always be published on this page.
